Life can get a little hectic sometimes, it gets to that point when you just need a break—a break where perhaps you go and grab yourself a calorific drink from MCD and take a moment to explore a little wonder. For McDonald’s first (yes, the first) ever immersive digital experience we took people to amazing destinations around the world to take a breather from their busy lives. Google had just launched a bunch of new g-map experiences so using their API, we overlaid these into the MCD dot com campaign site to let people explore, drink and send postcards from the awesome destinations to friends. Each destination was paired with a refreshing product.
This was the also the first ever year-long campaign that McDonald’s had ever done for a sub brand—McCafe.
