Airbnb | Millions to One
Consumer interest in Airbnb trips had fallen slightly so to reinvigorate that energy we leaned in hard to the depth of hosts around the world, and through a huge integrated brand campaign we not only celebrated the vast range of hosts, but also all the unique individuality of each—and so Millions to One was created. The campaign was delivered through the voice of our hosts, that reinforced Airbnb as a unique travel company, the go-to place for anyone looking for a more human travel experience and all while reinforcing Airbnb’s core message that we all truly belong anywhere.
Launched with five :30 sec TV spots and more than 1,200 OOH units that got placed in Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Toronto and New York.
My role was focused on the Out-of-Home pieces of the campaign—all 1,200 of them:-)
Through a media partnership we were able to create a hand-painted mural of one of our amazing hosts. We captured the craft of this piece of art being created in a time-lapse film that was shared through social channels. Hand-crafted is still alive and kicking!
A little design exploration below, to maintain a brand consistency from the previous work but also to create a degree of separation. The inclusion of the host’s signature added that personalization to each piece and championed the individuality of each person and what they had to offer.
